to look into the fleshless days and wonder
if twilight could seal open skin?
Where have those instances gone
that drew beauty from my veins
and made me draw you close
as winter draws the autumn -- into itself.
Have you gone?
...to search out eternity,
and allow me to stand in the decay of your scent
;lost in the horizon - fragile - and failing
stringing days together like so many blooms
watching them wrinkle, wither, and wane.
