Hi! Sorry it took me so long to respond--your comment got buried on my comments page thingy, and I didn't notice it! You are welcome to use this as the basis of a tattoo...or were you asking more about something similar, but not exactly like this? I unfortunately can't take commissions till August or September, as my schedule is full, but if you wanted, we could work something out then. :)

Reminds me so much of Redwall, almost.

But I love this picture so much.

How many bogrolls went into the construction of this piece :P

Ha, ha! This one was very bogroll-intensive! Got to wipe the nib more, when using coloured ink, as the lacquer likes to bung up the tip. ;-)

Hey Socar, once again it is nice to see these wonderful pictures of yours. If an unworthy worm like me may make a small comment though, I would say that the coat of the badger feels a bit too stiff to my taste. All those quasi-vertical lines, they somehow contradict you very personal organic line-work. But it is just me, really.
I LOVE the little vole !

But this does not tell me, though, why your amazing blog suddenly turned silent ages ago ! I miss the demonstrations of spastic dance, and the novel-long considerations about spots on your wall.

Be well,

I love this style of illustration. It's a style I have tried and tried to achieve for many years and always eludes me. Hat off to you.

This is a very lovely illustration! The details are wonderful and the shading is very well done.

I agree with ~04cookyqueen's comment about ratty. He should be bigger as he is a water vole in the story :)
