There Was an Old Woman page 1 by socar There Was an Old Woman page 1 by socar
This is the first page of my story for Fleshrot II, "There Was an Old Woman". This grim tale, based on a popular nursery rhyme, is ten pages long, and has a lot of zombies in it. If you would like to read the story, please go to [link] and get a copy - they are already taking pre-orders for Issue 2!

(This is a censored version--a rude graffito has been removed from the shoe. Buy the comic to find out what you're missing!)

I love this piece because of it's haunted allure and creepy feel around the Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe. It does infact remind me of rot and decay, and the feel of it is gritty. This is a :+fav: because it just stood out to me so much from all the others that I saw in your gallery. You are very talented.

This is awesome. I'm going to buy the first issuse and second. =3 I adore the monotone feel it gives off, such eerieness. Reminds me of when I was a child and I literally poured over the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark series and other such books. Not to mention the Grim brothers tales. Wonderful stuff.

May first thought at the title was of the old childrens song about the old woman who lived by the graveyard (Oooo-OOO-ooo) Somehow it seem if fit perfectly with both the song and the nursey rhryme. Excelent artwork! I'am gonna have to check-out this Fleshrot book ^_^

I always thought there were some rather abuse elements in the nursery rhyme.

I wonder who lives in the sock? :D

This is fabulous. Depending on one's screen brightness, the light emitting door may look a little odd. But probably fine if printed.

Do they order shoelaces to be delivered?

Wow Socar! It's....well lovely, lol. Given what it's designed for.

I'm a little confused by the doorway though, is that light rushing out? Shouldn't we be able to see the door?
